About this series

I created the series "Visions" in 2019 while I was living in South Tyrol. As usual the paintings are inspired by nature and the seasons, as well as the inner world. Throughout that year I experimented with some new things creatively. Before then, my paintings were entirely abstract. Since I often found faces spontaneously emerging on my paintings, I dared to take a step into a new direction and create some half-abstract paintings that had the faces and/or bodies of people in them. By allowing these people to be in my paintings I found a way to express feelings, visions and ideas in a clearer and more direct way.
